Tired of quiet heats? Milk dropping too fast?  Here's some sustainable herbal support for your furry friends :)

It's that time of year again for many breeders of small livestock as you seek to start your next generation of improvement in your breeding program :) .     And for those already with babies on the ground with lactating stock.

Do you have animals, an animal that displays weak or quiet heats, or doesn't seem to be cycling,  or seems to have bad timing or stuck in cycles?  Assuming they are otherwise healthy, and are an appropriate age and size for breeding, consider using CyclEaze(tm) with them.   It makes traditional high quality herbal nutrition available to their reproductive organs to allow them to perform how they were created to perform.   Use twice per day, mixed in some damp feed or mix with a liquid and carefully drench.  Remember to included a high quality vitamin e source such as black oiled sunflower seeds,  organic sunflower oil or organic wheat germ oil as th body will not fully utilize reproductive tract herbs without that synergy.   STOP using it the day you decide to start breeding and don't use it unless you are 100% for sure your animal is not bred.    My most interesting kidding using this was giving it to a lamancha doe in late January/February and having kids on the ground in July.  Please note that if they are not dropping eggs- possible when out of season- they are not going to get pregnant.   But this may help their bodies move forward for next breeding season in that case.

Heat cycles,  stress, weather going back and forth, taking animals to fairs, moving,  hard birthings and flaky spring or fall weather moving in can cause decreases in milk production.   If you would like to support your animal in a natural way to see if their lactation will increase in quantity and quality I recommend using MilkMaid(tm) herb blend.  As long as they are otherwise healthy and their parasite population is in check their body should respond.  I even used it many years ago with a doe (goat) of mine that had aborted,  one month after the fact and brought her into milk in about 5 days.  I've also used it with older does to help support their lacatations.

BetterDaze(tm) herb mix is always a great friend to support stressed, young, old and pregnant/lactating stock as a natural supplement.

These are all available under the products tab,  animal herb mixes selection.      Wishing you all a beautiful new generation of livestock!

Nationals? Herbal friends for showing at fairs and shows.

How exciting!  You have been preparing for a long time to be ready for your upcoming show.  Breeding programs, selecting stock, training, proper nutrition and care.   I also love the opportunities to make new friends and learn more to continually improve on genetics.   Here are some products I love to keep on hand to help me help my furry friends to look their best at the event.

A week before I like to use MMune™ 2 to 3x daily.  It's a bummer to have an animal pull up unwell just a couple days before an event.   I also want to be sure their immune systems are well supported at a time they will incur more stress which will result with a dip in immune system efficiency.  Showing is also a time that our creatures get exposed to microbes and germs from other farms- sometimes nationwide.

I also like to keep Wonderful Salve™ on hand for those cuts and scratches and hopefully not worse that can occur when traveling or in pens.   I have seen everything a broken leg and sprains on  goat kids  that got a leg caught in a fence and I have experienced  a cattle panel snapping in my face and ripping my skin under my eye among other injuries.   I always keep Wonderful Salve™ with me even for international travel.   I simply love this salve.  Just dap it on several times a day.

Sometimes animals experience swelling from transporting or standing on hard surfaces, twisting a leg or bumping something with a leg.   I love AKing Joint Support™ for this issue.   In these situations I like to give a double or triple dose depending on the situation every two waking hours then about 4x a day after that until after I get them home,  then 3x a day for 3 or 4 more days or based on what they show you.   All at triple dose if wanted.

HerBiotic™ is my friend whenever my animal starts feeling ill.   I also give this normal dose (on the label) every 2 waking hours the first day,  then 4x a day for 2 more days (or even two more if still at an event),  then 3x a day for another 4 days past getting home.

GISoother™ is nice for those that have GI upsets / diarrhea while on the road or at an event.   I give it also at triple dose for a situation like this every two waking hours then 4x a day for 2-4 days,  then 3x a day for about 4 more.  If they improve rapidly you can reduce this schedule.

BreatheDeeplee™ Is good to keep on hand if one thinks they may get exposure to something respiratory,  even from things like additional dust in the air (have you ever looked at a sunbeam in a barn to see it full of particulate).

Wishing you the best and most amazing show successes,  wellness and blessings,  Katherine.    These products and more can be purchased online for the US and Canada at www.firmeadowllc.com

Fair Time Alternative Preparation

Heading to the fair?  Here's some tips to helping your animals come though it better!

MMune - start them on it two weeks before if possible (so you know for next time) and keep them on during and two weeks past.

DWorm A- Do keep them updated-  consider having them on during the event to help their bodies knock out eggs they ingest then 3 days in a row after.  Yes,  worm ovum will be even floating in the air (manure flakes off in small particulate and goes airborn- with worm ovum attached) and is breathed in.     Consider a program for yourselves as well- we have Dr Christopher herbal parasite formula under human products.

HerBiotic herb mix-  this is for bacterial, viral, fungal, yeast (can we say fair) issues.   One can make herb balls if you like per my blog article and give them a couple per day and for three days after to help their bodies knock out things as they are exposed.   Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Poultry, hedgehogs and other small creatures benefit from HerBiotic extract.  Many will lick a drop or two off of the eye dropper.   Or 6 drops can be added to a day's supply of water.

Consider keeping Eucaplyptus globulus (on our site under essential oils) on hand.  I put a tiny smear (not a whole drop) on my clean finger tip and smear it under nostrils twice per day.  if you milk then on the milkstand is perfect.   this helps knock out buggies in the lungs that they are breathing in and helps them expectorate the barn air dust.

GI Soother is incredibly helpful to have on hand in case of diarrhea.  It's very easy for kids, even adults to pick up something from fair or exhibition facilities that gives them diarrhea.  Sometimes just the fair and moving stress will do it.

Everyone have a Safe and BLESSED time out there with your herds!
