![]() Now that we are getting some days moving into the 80 degree range it's time for some healthy yet delicious alternatives to the full of sugar, full of dairy (glue to your cells especially lungs) products. And yes, this is a breeder of dairy goats talking to you! I've had my herd mainly for show and because I really enjoy their antics and how they bond with their humans. And, when I use dairy I want to control the source and keep it chemical free... So onto the shake! Into my blender (I use a Vitamix and I have a link for those on my site if you don't have access to a good quality one) I put a ripe banana, about two cups of fresh strawberries, and about 8 ounces of organic soy milk along with about 1/4 tsp of some of our medicinal quality cinnamon. Then I whirled it up and YUM! It took me about 2 minutes to make that- the time was in cutting the tops off of the strawberries. Very healthy and very yummy! I can hear you thinking- how can soy milk be healthy? Yes, I know that soy is controversial. But it isn't when you know what to look for... You MUST work with ORGANIC made from WHOLE BEANS soy. If you work with non organic you will certainly be consuming GMO (genitically modified) products. If it is not whole bean such as a soy protein product then you will most certainly over time be putting your reproductive hormones into a state of imbalance with health consequences. For those that are soy sensitive you can consider almond milk, oat milk, hazlenut milk (for chocolate flavor without the damaging caffeine) or other alternative non dairy milks. ENJOY! Welcome to this blog where I will be sharing tidbits on alternative wellness for you, your family and your creatures. I like to say I'm a Master Herbalist for your ENTIRE family! My educational background (so that you know there is a firm foundation behind what I teach) includes internationally esteemed schools that teach from a Vitalist and Hippocrates DO NO HARM perspectives. Vitalism is a cause oriented method that focuses on working with the body rather than forcing the body or controlling it yet never really getting to the problem at hand. We work with the body to do what it was created to do- to heal if it gets what it needs and removes what it doesn't. Her degrees and certifications are a Master's Degree in Herbology, International Certification in Aromatherapy (including a Master's program for which there is no degree), Certified Reflexologist, Diplomate of Holistic Iridology, Certified Equine Iridology Technician, and Quantum Touch (R) Practioner of Energy Medicine. I'm also an author of , "The Accessible Pet, Equine and Livestock Herbal" with more books in progress- watch for those on this website. I continue to accumulate education to be able to better help YOU. I occassionally speak at conferences on both human and creature wellness and am available for consultations (see this website for fee structure). We have a small patch of Oregon dirt that we call home along with our dairy goats, horses, alpacas, small home orchard, herb and vegetable gardens. May your day be FULLY and ABUNDANTLY Blessed!
