I serve it the day of birthing and every 6 hours until the creature births including just at birthing time/during if I'm late. It can also be used to encourage afterbirth expulsion and can be given in double or triple dosage during birthing to enable additional nourishment during a hard birthing. It generally allows the body to make well timed, even, productive contractions. We used this to aid in afterbirth expulsion, and boy did they pass those afterbirths quickly! One note of caution - I would not recommend giving a very high dose if unless you need to. When I gave an extra dose to my girl, she seemed to have some cramping. Powerful stuff. JC
We have used Ewe-ter-N to make a tea for our dairy goats the day they give birth. It really helps and they drink it down happily.
