Sophia had not been bred while at Silver Rose because she became breeding age through some of the worst part of the recession. That has nothing to to with her outstanding conformation, bright very crimpy and dense fleece though. Her sire, Aspen Ridge Augusto's Cochiti has multiple color championsips including at GWAS (he is pictured with some ribbons). Sophia's paternal brother, Silver Rose Overture is still taking home a best in show ribbon for fleece (2013 Alpacamania) even though he was in the show ring pulling his championships several years ago and has been used for breeding since then. Plans are to breed her to the stunning true black multiple color champion herdsire LKR Total Eclipse for a fall 2015 cria. He has the conformation, he has the fleece and he has the temperment. Coupled with Sophia it should be dramatic! She is out of Silver Rose's darkest color lines so we are very hopeful for color.
