This book has such a huge and wonderful quantity of information! So helpful in understanding how to use herbs with goats. Thank you! by MV
I just bought aI found out about this book after reading an article that Kat has written for the "Dairy Goat Journal". This is a wonderful resource, and reference book. Even though I don't know much about herbal remedies it is easy to read and understand. I contacted Fir Meadows LLC by email because I had a very sick little lamb. Kat responded right away recommending the treatment needed and was very helpful and caring. I cannot say enough good about her.
After seeing my book, a friend asked me to order one for her. She has used herbs for many years for herself but could never find much about using them on animals. She was very pleased with her copy. NA in Oregon
Now that it's winter and things have slowed down a little I look forward to studying it more thoroughly copy of your book this week. I have not been able to put it down. This is by far the best animal care book I have ever seen or looked at in my life. It has so much information and for those of us who want to care for our livestock and pets in a loving holistic way, this is a gold mine. Thank you so much Kat for all your knowledge and genuine heartfelt writing, blood sweat and tears that went into this book. AR in Oregon
This Book is Wonderful!!!! It is exactly what I needed to help me learn and understand
more about Herbal Healing, the applications and the benefits. So easy to read!!!
Thanks Kat for sharing all your knowledge with us. by KC
Love this book! Wealth of information right at your fingertips! Teaches you how to use things that are not harmful to your animals and most often right in your own kitchen! A must own for the natural livestock owner, or even a family first aid book - I have applied much of what I read in Fir Meadows book to our family health and first aid. by CP
I highly recommend this book! Please go buy it!! If you are tired of using chemicals......try these herbal mixes and EO's listed in the book! I had a very sick little goat and we have transitioned onto using chemicals/meds to using herbs. I am not saying I'd never use chemicals or meds again, but only in dire circumstances. I really believe if you feed well and keep your animals healthy in the first place, you won't end up in a situation where you ever need medicines again. This book has helped me learn that! Herbs do work and definately help our bodies and animals bodies heal so we and they can be healthy long term! I am becoming more and more of a believer!! The more I use herbs, and see how my animals are becoming healthier, the more of a believer I am becoming!
Our animals are like an extension of our family.....and we want them to be healthy too! This book gives so much great knowledge! I would highly recommend it! by TB in Oregon

Herb Mix DWorm A ™ 16 oz"Really love this product. We use it twice a week on all our goats. We had to take one goat to the vet the day after we used the D wormer. When the vet called to tell us what was wrong with the goat (nothing!) he asked if we had just D-wormed them because he saw a lot of dead worms. Thank you so much for such a great product." ME from Oregon
No meat or milk withdrawals! Safe for pregnant and non pregnant animals & lactating animals of all types (all of our herb mix products except CyclEaze ™ can be used with pregnant animals. Fresh Start ™, Blood & Cells™ , Cellebration ™ herb mixes get advice before starting with preg/lactating animals). Synergestic Master of Herbology formulated traditional herb blend used as a vermifuge, anthelmintic, taeniacide (tapes) and vermicide to discourage and/or help the body to kill those pesky parasites from seeking residence in their host's digestive tract and helps the body dissolve egg linings it comes in contact with in the intestines. This product also has very nice synergy to support the body in mycoplasma issues (pair with HerBiotic ™ if wanted). I start my young livestock on this, including my kids, at 4 days old. If they are in the barn, then they are already picking up worm ovum and I don't want to wait long as larvae already tunnel and do damage. Some herbs also double as added digestive tract, organ and body system support as well as encourage the body to build a stronger immune system. A Master Herbalist formulated proprietary superior quality blend of cayenne, cloves, fennel, garlic, ginger, hyssop, mullein, thyme, wormwood. Drenching / Feeding Syringe 50 cc / mlWe love using this syringe on our farm, both for drenching (giving oral herbs and products) and for using carefully vaginally for herbs after or lubricants during birthing. If this syringe saves you ONE TIME from aspirating an animal because of failure using a regular syringe, it will have paid for boxes of these... I"ve used these with our dogs, goats, foals and alpacas and keep them in my travel tack boxes as well. Dilute products containing raw apple cider vinegar with another liquid before drenching.

*When we are dealing with long standing health problems we cannot expect to totally cleanse the body with one or so three-day cleansing routines. Therefore, to rid the body of chronic conditions or to prevent their occurrence an extended herbal cleanse is an excellent path to: 1 - Take the following herbal formulas as directed until the capsules are gone a. Lower Bowel (4 bottles) 2 capsules upon rising in the morning. 2 capsules one hour before lunch. 2 capsules before retiring to bed. b. Liver & Gall Bladder (4 bottles) 2 capsules 20 minutes before each meal. c. Kidney (2 bottles) 2 capsules mid-morning 2 capsules mid afternoon This routine would be followed 6 days, resting on the 7 day. After 1 week of using the above formulas, start the Blood Stream Formula & continue taking the other formulas until they are gone. The 1 week delay in adding the Blood Stream Formula is absolutely essential because of the extreme effectiveness of this formula. In the 1st week we are opening the eliminative channels of the body, allowing a pathway of elimination for the ensuing toxins loosened by the Blood Stream Formula. Kat's note- I prefer people wait 3 to 4 months depending on their history to start the blood cleanse part of the formula, unless you are facing a challenge requiring yourself to cleanse at a faster rate. This is because the liver and kidneys will probably not be ready to handle an additional toxic load that quickly. d. Blood Stream Formula (2 bottles) 2 capsules 1 hour after each meal. This routine of taking herbs for 6 days & resting the 7th day would continue for 6 weeks at which time you should rest the body for 1 full week & then begin taking capsules again. 2 - Tailor this program to your individual needs. 3 - Drink 8-16 glasses of distilled water a day between meals. 4 - Avoid mucus promoting foods such as dairy products & red meat as much as possible. 5 - Increase your intake of fresh vegetables, grains, seeds & nuts. If you have any questions or concerns about beginning such an intensive program we recommend that you consult your Health Care Professional. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children. *Statements not evaluated by the FDA. |
