Seeds Organic Calendula
Approximately 100 seeds of our very own organically raised Fir Meadow Calendula officianalis! This hardy annual can survive some winters in mild climates and the whole plant makes a good livestock feed. Chickens enjoy the seeds as well. The petals are wonderful for the skin, eyes or used internally and are antiviral, antitumor, anti inflammatory, demulcent, antibacterial and more. Calendula officianalis thrives in zones 2 - 10 and enjoys part to full sun and will grow in a variety of soils including poor quality soil. Plant in the spring thru summer after hard frosts are done, approximately 1/2 inch deep and keep seed moist until seedlings emerge, then water according to need. You can start them early if you like or transplant them if you want to move them around. It will set them back to move them. Ideally give each plant 8 to 12" of space. Limited amount of seed packets available.
